Homemade Baked Tortilla Chips

Making homemade tortilla chips is simple. It only takes three ingredients, to quickly have warm crunchy tortilla chips that taste much better than store and restaurant chips. Even better, they are fewer calories! These chips are baked, not fried, and take only 15 minutes to make. Trust me you will never go back to store-bought after you make these.

PREP TIME: 5 minutes

COOK TIME: 15 minutes

SERVINGS: 4

Ingredients

  • 16 corn tortillas

  • Kosher salt

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven at 350F.

  2. Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut your favorite brand of corn tortillas into triangles.

  3. Lay triangle pieces on a baking sheet. Brush or spray olive oil on tortillas. I love using an oil spray dispenser which allows you to evenly coat the chips while using a minimal amount of oil. You can also use avocado oil or coconut oil. I personally like olive oil.

  4. Next, you lightly sprinkle them with salt; the coarser the salt the crunchier the chips.

  5. Then bake them at 350F for 10-15 minutes. It is best to flip them over halfway through the baking so that each side is perfectly golden.
